The Artron COVID-19 Antigen Home Test uses an immunochromatographic assay to detect the SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein from nasal swabs. When the sample is applied, any viral antigen binds with antibody-gold particles to form a complex that moves along the strip. A pink or purple line at the test area (T) indicates a positive result. If no line appears at T, the result is negative. A visible control line (C) must always appear to confirm the test is valid.
