Private Skills Evaluation (Instructor Skills Check)
Private Skills Evaluation (Skills Check)
Our Private Skills Evaluation (also known as a Skills Check or Instructor Skills Assessment) is designed for new instructor candidates, as well as expired instructors within the 6-month grace period who want to participate in an Instructor Recertification course.
During this one-on-one evaluation session, a Teaching Experience Supervisor or Instructor Trainer reviews your practical knowledge using Canadian Red Cross Skill Sheets / Skill Evaluation Forms to ensure you meet the requirements to proceed with instructor training or recertification.
This private assessment session provides personalized feedback and a clear understanding of your readiness before registering for an Instructor Recertification course. It’s ideal for those who want to refresh their skills, confirm competency, or meet prerequisites after their instructor certification has recently expired.
Common Reasons to Book a Private Skills Evaluation
- Verifying readiness as an Instructor Candidate
- Completing a skills check during the 6-month grace period after expiry
- Refreshing teaching techniques and practical instructional skills
By completing a Private Skills Evaluation, you’ll receive expert guidance on your strengths and any areas that may need improvement before moving forward with your instructor training or recertification.
