Standard First Aid With Basic Life Support

Standard First Aid with Basic Life Support is designed for in-facility care providers (nursing staff, care aides, medical and dental professionals) and pre-hospital care providers (fire service, rescue team, sports-medicine, lifeguards and ski patrol).

Standard First Aid with C & AED

This course is designed for people interested in learning comprehensive first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace and home. This course is more intensive and covers more topics compared to Emergency First Aid such as spinal and poison related injuries.

Emergency Child Care with CPR B & AED

This course is designed for caregivers and those that live with children/infants. This course focuses on injury prevention skills & knowledge and lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR and AED) skills for children and infants.

This course is for those who are interested in general first aid. It is focused on basic injuries and emergencies that can occur at home, the workplace or on the road.

CPR & AED

This course is designed for people interested in learning cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children and infants depending on the level of CPR course chosen. Course participants will also be trained on the guidelines and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).

Occupational First Aid Level 2

This course is designed for first aid attendants in the workplace, especially those working in industrial building such as manufacturing factories or produce warehouses. Course participants will be trained in emergency care, from minor injury management to the most serious trauma care involving airway, breathing and circulatory emergencies.

Emergency First Aid with CPR C

This course is for those who are interested in general first aid. It is focused on basic injuries and emergencies that can occur at home, the workplace or on the road.

Standard First Aid With Basic Life Support

Psychological First Aid Instructor

Psychological First Aid Instructors support the delivery of our Psychological First Aid course. Candidates will develop competencies in facilitating case-based learning, and how to support learners in understanding a resiliency-building approach to emotional, psychological, and social well-being.

Oxygen Therapy

This course is designed to provide knowledge and skills necessary to administer supplemental oxygen. Participants will learn how to handle O2 equipment and devices. Course can be combined with Basic Life Support training.

Airway Management

This course highlights on the knowledge and skills needed to create a patent airway and the interventions to maintain it. Students will appropriate intervention techniques including measuring and inserting an airway adjunct based on a patient’s condition. Course can be combined with Basic Life Support training.

Psychological First Aid (PFA)

$95 + tax for online and 1 day classroom course
$145 + tax for 2 day classroom course

This course teaches strategies on how to help those who are experiencing loss, grief and stress as well as self-care. Students will take away coping strategies to prevent, identify and deal with stressful events. Students will be required to complete the online course: Psychological First Aid – Self Care prior to the classroom course. Online course will be 45 – 90 mins of learning and 7 hours of in class learning.

MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID (MHFA)

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the help provided to a person developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. Just as physical first aid is administered to an injured person before medical treatment can be obtained, MHFA is given until appropriate treatment is found or until the crisis is resolved.

Class size minimum is 10 participants.

Pre-Aider

Within the 2 hours, students between the ages of 3 to 5 will be taught the basic skills to prepare themselves for emergencies, how to stay safe in emergency situations and how to survive. No matter how young we are, if we can make a call to 9-1-1/ EMS in the midst of emergency, we might can just save a life. The PFA team will provide an interactive, fun and safe learning environment for the students.

Young Aider

The young aider workshop offers basic first aid and safety skills for students ages 6 to 8. Aiders gain environment awareness, preparing themselves for real disasters and skills to act in an emergency setting. As simple as dialing 9-1-1 can save a life.
