Emergency First Aid Course with CPR-C & AED
The Canadian Red Cross Emergency First Aid course in Vancouver teaches essential emergency response skills and provides a nationally recognized 3-year certification.
This course is officially recognized as equivalent to WorkSafeBC’s Basic First Aid (formerly OFA Level 1).

- Preparing to respond
- The EMS system
- Check, Call, Care
- Airway emergencies
- Breathing and Circulation emergencies
- First aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest
- Wound care

Course Formats
Full Course
- Duration: 1 day (8 hours in-person)
- Beginner-friendly
- Traditional classroom experience
- Interactive theory with games and group activities
- Ideal for learners who prefer structured, immersive training
Blended Learning
- Duration: 4 hours online + 5.5 hours in-person
- Online portion must be completed before the in-person session
- Online theory at your own pace
- Shorter in-person session for practice
- Ideal for busy schedules or reduced classroom time
Recertification
- Prerequisite: Valid Canadian Red Cross Emergency First Aid with CPR & AED certification
- Duration: 4 hours online + 5.5 hours in-person
- Note: WorkSafeBC requires retaking the full course (short recertification not allowed). Discounted rates available – please contact us to register.
