This Canadian Red Cross Emergency First Aid with CPR‑C & AED course is recognized as equivalent to WorkSafeBC Basic First Aid (formerly OFA Level 1).

How long is the certification valid?

Your Canadian Red Cross Emergency First Aid certification is valid for 3 years.

What is the difference between Emergency First Aid and Standard First Aid?

Emergency First Aid covers essential life‑saving skills for common emergencies. Standard First Aid includes those topics plus more in‑depth training for injuries like spinal trauma and poisoning emergencies.

Do I need any prior experience to take this course?

No. This course is beginner‑friendly and requires no prior first aid or medical training.

Can I get certified completely online?

It’s hard to practice CPR and other first aid skills from home, so all students must complete an in‑person practical part to be certified. For a flexible option, the Blended Course lets you do all the reading and theory online at your own pace, then come into class only for the hands‑on practice and skills check.
