Emergency First Aid with CPR-C & AED
Now officially recognized as equivalent to WorkSafeBC' s Basic First Aid (Formerly OFA 1)
This course is designed for people interested in learning basic lifesaving first aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) skills for the workplace and home.
Course Contents:
- The Red Cross
- Preparing to respond
- The EMS system
- Check, Call, Care
- Airway emergencies
- Breathing and Circulation emergencies
- First aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest
- Wound care
If you want a more in-depth course with additional topics like spinal and poisoning injuries, consider our Standard First Aid course.
Blended Learning Option:
Emergency First Aid with CPR C & AED is available as a Blended Learning course, combining online theory and in-person practical training. The online portion (about half the course) must be completed before attending the in-person session. This flexible option is ideal for busy schedules or those preferring less classroom time.
*Recertification Notice:
WorkSafeBC requires that all course content be fully retaken to meet their standards - shorter recertification courses are not permitted. However, we offer discounted rates for individuals with a currently valid certificate who wish to renew by completing the full course again. Please contact us to register for this.
