Learn the fundamentals of instruction, and a classroom component, where you apply these fundamentals under the guidance of a Red Cross Instructor Trainer. Program curriculum:
Upon completion, you will be given your additional course materials, you will have 60 days to move on to Step 2
Step two consists of an online component, where you will learn the fundamentals of
instruction, and a classroom component, where you apply these fundamentals under the
guidance of an Instructor Trainer.
Upon completion, you will have 180 days to move on to Step 3
Once you decide which program you would like to teach, you must attend the corresponding discipline-specific classroom component which focuses on the specific skills of that program.
Upon completion, you will have 364 days to move on to completion of Step 4
Step four consists of an online and a classroom component. The online details what to
expect during your Teaching Experience and the classroom component provides the
experience of teaching in a real classroom with the support of a Teaching Experience
Supervisor.
Upon completion, please send your paperwork back to your Instructor Trainer.
The final step is certification. Congratulations! You are now officially a certified Instructor.
