All you need to know about private group training

by Lisa Deacon

From time to time, we get inquiries about offering private group training like this one:

Message Body:

Hello, I would like to inquire if you are able to offer off-site first aid training at our workplace. We have around 20 staff we'd like to have trained in OFA1...

The short answer is YES!

We understand that life is full. Schedules are busy and trying to squeeze in yet-another pre-scheduled commitment on your calendar filled with competing priorities can be, well, less than ideal.

We value your time and are committed to making your experience one that is filled with ease.

We offer training for private groups with the option of training offsite or at our Vancouver classroom.

To help you get started, we put together a list of frequently asked questions below.

Q: Do you have a minimum number of participant requirement?

A: To make it most cost effective for you, we do require a minimum number of eight (8) participants for private group training.

Q: Is there a maximum number of participants per session?

A: Yes, there is at maximum number of 18 participants per training session to ensure consistent quality delivery from our instructors. For example: for a group of 20, we may split the group into two sessions or we have two instructors facilitate.

Q: What does the whole booking process look like?

A: If you have a group of people who would like First Aid training and you meet the minimum group requirements, please email programs@pacificfirstaid.ca or call our office to set up First Aid training today!

If you have a group of people who would like First Aid training and you DO NOT meet the minimum group requirements but are open to potentially having other students join your group training, please still contact us and we can see how we can best accommodate your situation.

Q: What should information should I include when I contact you?

A: As much info as possible! Helpful information includes:

  • The First Aid course you are interested in
  • The number of people in your group
  • A few dates and times that work for your group
  • If you have a location (offsite) or if you need the space for training (onsite)

We value your time, and will try our best to accommodate a date and time that works for your group!
